You do everything in your power to avoid a contami You do everything in your power to avoid a contaminated kitchen from cleaning up raw meat to ensuring that nothing has spoiled!

But there can be toxins lurking where you’d never think to look: deep in the construction of your dishes.

Perfluorinated chemicals or PFCs are hormone-disrupting chemicals that is commonly found in non-stick cookware and dishes.

While PFCs may make clean-up extremely easy in your kitchen, this chemical can cause thyroid disease and other hormonal issues or disruptions!

Healthy hormones are the foundation of a healthy body. Toxins lurking in the kitchen can disrupt your body’s natural rhythms and cause mysterious issues that seem to have no reason.

PFCs and other hormone-disrupting toxins might be to blame if you’ve suddenly had symptoms appear!

Keeping your hormones in good health can be hard but you don’t have to go it alone!

Y’all, if your a batiste die-hard like I used to be…you have to make the switch!

Batiste and most of the other popular dry shampoos out there contain benzene and other toxic ingredients.

As a hormone health coach, I urge my clients to make healthier non-toxic swaps in various areas of their life. This is one of my favorites! Corn starch is ridiculously cheap and does the trick. Some people have told me they use baby powder, but I would advise you to avoid baby powder as it contains talc. 

If you’re not convinced about using corn starch as a replacement for your beloved Batiste, at least try switching to a non-aerosolized dry shampoo. 

Also, if you have a setting powder, you can even use that in a pinch when you’re traveling! I love when a product can do double duty.
